Brievengat — Yesterday, SOAB and the Curaçao Football Association (FFK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the VIP area of the Rignaal Jean Fransisca Stadium. The official ceremony took place in the presence of FFK Chairman Gilbert Martina; SOAB Director Raymond Faneyte; the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Sithree van Heydoorn; and the Minister of General Affairs and Prime Minister of Curaçao, Gilmar Pik Pisas.

The Stichting Overheidsaccountantsbureau (SOAB) has taken another significant step in its commitment to nation building by announcing a new collaboration with the Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou (FFK). Through this partnership, SOAB will support FFK’s member teams with training programs focused on organizational management, budgeting, and long-term capacity development.
This collaboration forms part of SOAB’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, titled “We Know. We Serve. We Care.” Through this program, SOAB actively deploys its knowledge and expertise to strengthen community organizations and contribute to sustainable development in Curaçao.

The training sessions are delivered through the SOAB Learning Lab and align with SOAB’s broader mission to empower local organizations and support Curaçao’s social and economic development. By strengthening the administrative and financial capabilities of football teams, SOAB supports organizations that play a central role in local neighborhoods, enabling them to better guide young talent and build stronger communities.
“Football plays a central role in our national identity,” SOAB stated. “By supporting the people who manage and lead these clubs, we are investing in Curaçao’s future both on and off the field.”
The program will begin with structured workshops aimed at improving leadership, planning, governance, and financial sustainability. This foundation supports the long-term vision shared by both SOAB and FFK: a resilient football ecosystem that inspires pride and opportunity across the island.
